The Ritual of Kayu-ura Kayubiraki
(Judgment of Rice Harvest Fortune)
On the early morning of March 1, kayumoto gathers at the shrine and priest play for the huge harvest of the year.
Lighting on a candle, three kayu bowls are taken out of the wooden box.
They read the mold of the kayu to judge rice, a crop, water, an insect and wind for three seasons of a rice crop.
Thus, it is told the entirety luck and decided the rice crop judgment of the year.
